Fused is a Bangladeshi rock band formed in Dhaka in 2016..[1]. The band consists of singer Farhan Mesbah, lead guitarists Debobrata Chakraborty and Shariar Sajid, bassist Ashik Azad Nibir, and drummer Jayson Jerald. Their music primarily falls into the genres of punk rock, alternative rock, hard rock and experimental rock. The band has released four singles: 'Labh Nai,' 'Shopner Gontobbo,' 'Shesh Cheshta,'[2] and 'Takar Chaka' [3]
History
[edit]Fused has been performing live in the underground rock scene since its formation at Notre Dame College in 2016[4]
During their college years, a group of individuals with various musical identities and compositional preferences came up with the idea of creating something new. This group included Farhan Mesbah as the vocalist, Ebad Ul Muntakim as the guitarist, Mahsinur Lava as the bassist, and Partha Regain as the drummer. Each of the four had unique musical inspirations, preferences, and ideas. They combined their perspectives to develop their own unique musical style. Thus, Fused was born!
Despite starting with this lineup, Fused has undergone multiple lineup changes. Only Farhan Mesbah, the lead vocalist, remains in the current lineup. After Debobrata Chakraborty and Shariar Sajid joined the band, they found its rhythm and pace and began working on their original songs.
Logo and Symbolism
[edit]The logo of Fused features a circular design with a deep red background and a white border. At the center, there is an illustration of a hand holding a lightbulb. The lightbulb is cracked, and the filament inside spells out the word "fused" in a flowing, handwritten style. The overall aesthetic of the logo is modern and artistic, with the cracked lightbulb possibly symbolizing creative ideas or innovation that have been "fused" together.
The imagery of the cracked lightbulb symbolize breaking conventional boundaries and fusing different ideas or sounds to create something new and unique.
