Fredrick J. Long ( Born 01/14/1966 [1]) is a New Testament scholar and Greek professor teaching at Asbury Theological Seminary and has worked heavily with the publishing company GlossaHouse. [2]

Education

Fredrick J. Long attended the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana graduating in 1988 with a B.S. of Animal Science. In 1992 he graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary with an M.Div. in Biblical Studies. In 1995 he graduated from the University of Kentucky with an M.A. Classics in Greek Literature. In 1999 he graduated from Marquette University with a Ph.D. in Biblical Theology.

During his time attending Asbury Theological Seminary between 1991 - 1992 he was a Research and Grading Assistant for Dr. David R. Bauer. Between 1993 and 1995 he held a Greek Teaching Fellow position at Asbury Theological Seminary.

From 1996 to 1997 he was an Adjunct Faculty at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Between 1997 and 1998 he was a Part-time Lecturer, at Marquette University. Also between 1996 and 1999 he was also a Research and Teaching Assistant for Dr. Julian V. Hills at Marquette University.

Between 1999 and 2007 he was an Assistant Professor of New Testament at Bethel College. Between 2007 and 2010 he held an Associate Professor of New Testament position at Asbury Theological Seminary. Starting 2011 became Professor of New Testament at Asbury Theological Seminary. Starting 2015 he received a Director of Greek Instruction title at Asbury Theological Seminary.
