Frances Chinasa Nwosu Ben, known professionally as Frances Ben, was born on September 23, 1993, in Nnewi, Anambra State, Nigeria. She began her entertainment career as a model at the age of 16 and landed her first paid modeling job by 17.[1]
Frances made her Nollywood debut in Jackie Goes to School, produced by Uchenna Mbunabo of One & Two Productions. In 2016, she took on her first lead role in Hidden Fears, produced by CJ Akpofure. Since then, she has appeared in a variety of Nollywood films, building a presence in the industry.[2]
Beyond acting, Frances also featured in a short comedy skit, The New Guard, alongside comedian Broda Shaggi.[3] She is a graduate of Business Management from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

Frances later attended the University of Lagos, earning a degree in Business Management. Although she pursued an academic path in business, her passion for the arts ultimately led her to a career in the entertainment industry. Frances Ben is married and welcomed her first child in 2021.[4]
Career
[edit]Frances Ben began her career in the entertainment industry at the age of 16 as a model, using her poise and charisma to establish a foothold in the sector. By the age of 17, she had secured her first paid modeling assignment. Her success in modeling eventually opened doors to acting, where she quickly gained recognition.[5]
Her Nollywood debut came with the film Jackie Goes to School, produced by Uchenna Mbunabo of One & Two Productions. In the movie, she acted alongside notable stars such as Jackie Appiah, Callista Okoronkwo, and Christabel Eke. Her performance in the film received positive attention, paving the way for future opportunities.[6]
In 2016, Frances landed her first lead role in the movie Hidden Fears, produced by CJ Akpofure. This role highlighted her versatility and depth as an actress, further establishing her as a prominent figure in Nollywood.[7]
