Fortnite Reload is a free-to-play battle royale video game developed and published by Epic Games, and serves as both a game mode within Fortnite and a companion mode to Fortnite Battle Royale, respectively, while also taking some inspiration from Chapter 1 and Chapter 4: Season OG.
Gameplay
[edit]In this mode, players can form duos or squads, then jump out of the battle bus and land on an island that incorporates notable locations from Battle Royale's history, such as Tilted Towers, as well as using an assortment of different classic items featured in the mode's loot pool, while attempting to survive until the end, with eliminated players being automatically rebooted while waiting for a set period of time, as long as one member of the team is still active, while also trying to avoid the storm, another threat previously featured within Battle Royale. More re-used concepts include loot that can be found within chests, or ammunition inside ammo boxes, which can also be found dropped and scattered around the map from defeated opponents, as well as the building mechanics (wood, stone, and metal) supported in the builds sub-mode. Towards the end of the match, reboots are turned off, which leads to players who became eliminated once more permanently staying as such for the remainder of the game. The last team to not have one of its members eliminated, and is able to wipe out all of the others, wins the game by achieving a "victory royale".
