Ferrit is a privately owned Czech company that was founded in 1993 in Frýdlant nad Ostravicí and carries out operations around the world. Initially established as a trading company, it has transformed into a manufacturing company with its own research and development department. The manufacture of suspended monorail transport systems makes up the largest share of its production activities.:[1]

Established as a private Czech company, Ferrit has evolved into an international supplier of mining technology solutions[2]. The company's equipment meets safety standards and is ATEX[3] certified for the European Union, allowing its use in mines with hazardous gas emissions and flammable coal dust[4].
