Draft:Eugene Alexander Burkes
Submission declined on 14 November 2022 by Timtrent (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. Not up to your usual standard. You usually do far better than this. I want to accept your drafts "just because", but. can't find an excuse to accept this one yet.

- Comment: By no stretch of the imagination could Oakland Municipal Art Gallery be considered a major collection. Theroadislong (talk) 11:33, 20 August 2022 (UTC)
- Comment: Not clear how they pass WP:NMUSICIAN or WP:NARTIST? Theroadislong (talk) 09:29, 20 August 2022 (UTC)
- User:Theroadislong he has an entry in the African American Artists source. He composed several songs and performs on a historic early recording of a notable song. So he's received substantial coverage and produced significant works. His artworks are also in major collections as is noted. FloridaArmy (talk) 11:29, 20 August 2022 (UTC)
