Castelblanco attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles in 1982, where he graduated with a B.A. in Accounting in 1986. He received the Accounting Award as recognition for graduating at the top of his class in his major.
After completing his undergraduate studies, Castelblanco became a Certified Public Accountant in 1988. He worked at both KPMG and the US Treasury Department, Internal Revenue Service.
In 1988 Castelblanco enrolled at Harvard Law School and graduated with a Juris doctorate in 1991. Castelblanco was in the same graduating class with former President Barack Obama.

The firm specializes in representing tenants in habitability lawsuits for apartment buildings, addressing issues such as cockroaches, bed bugs, rodents, child lead poisoning, carbon monoxide poisoning, and injury accidents on the property.
Living with these infestations poses significant health risks. Cockroaches can trigger asthma and carry harmful bacteria, while bed bugs can cause allergic reactions and skin infections. Rodents spread diseases and contaminate food and lead poisoning in children can lead to developmental issues and other serious health problems.
