Elie Abousaab (born October 1981) is a Lebanese social entrepreneur and communication strategist living in Paris, France. He is the founder of various businesses and initiatives in advertising, digital innovation, and social entrepreneurship. Abousaab is noted for his leadership roles at Creapix[1], Citron Conseil [2], and the French NGO ACTE [3]. He is also an Ashoka Fellow [4], recognized for promoting social change.

Early Life and Education

Elie Abousaab was born in Achrafieh, Lebanon. He won the Lebanese Taekwondo Championship [5] for the year 1997/1998. He pursued higher education in Management Information Systems at Notre Dame University. He earned a PhD in International Politics and Diplomacy from the Centre d’Études Diplomatiques et Stratégiques [6] in Paris, and an Executive MBA from ESCP Europe in Paris and ESA Business School [7] in Beirut. He is also certified in Cyber Diplomacy by the United Nations [8].

Career

Abousaab began his professional journey in 2004 by founding Creapix [9], an advertising, marketing, and digital agency with offices in Dubai, Beirut, Doha, Riyadh, and Paris. Creapix was named Technology Innovation Company of the Year 2014 [10] as featured in Arab Week [11] and Anbaa Online [12]. Abousaab has been involved in partnerships with governments and Fortune 500 companies.

In 2021, Abousaab established Citron Conseil [13] in Paris, continuing the same line of business as Creapix, focusing on digital innovation and advertising.

Certificate of Appreciation from the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces in Lebanon, awarded to Mr. Elie Abousaab, owner of Creapix, in recognition of his efforts in producing and directing a public awareness film used by the Internal Security Forces during the New Year celebrations of 2017-2018. The certificate acknowledges the positive impact of the film on both the public and security personnel, enhancing discipline and morale within the Internal Security Forces.

Social Entrepreneurship and Activism

Abousaab is involved in social entrepreneurship. In 2014, he was named an Ashoka Fellow [14] for his work in addressing social issues. He founded ACTE NGO [15] in 2023, focusing on promoting ethical communication, transparency in information sharing, and integrating fact-checking within school curriculums ACTE [16]. He received a commendation from the Lebanese General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces [17] for the campaign Creapix launched addressing the issue of celebratory gunfire.

His initiative Jouwar [18] aims to address social and economic challenges through community-driven solutions. Jouwar was a finalist in the MIT Arab World competition [19] and was featured in various media outlets such as L'Orient-Le Jour [20], La Tribune [21], and Annahar [22].
