[edit]The inaugural season brought mixed results for the club. The first game of the season was a home fixture versus the Stirling Storm which was lost 10-2. Secondly, was the home game against Aberdeen Kings 1s, the game was chosen to be played in Stirling to minimize travel. Edinburgh beat Aberdeen 1s 9-6 marking their first win of the season with efficient and aggressive baserunning.
In second semester, Edinburgh faced Aberdeen's second team and won decisively 25-17 then lost 15-0 to Stirling away headlined by being no-hit by Freddie Cho.[4] Aberdeen then cancelled the double header leaving Edinburgh 2-2 on the season and a BUCS National Championship Birth.
In Slough at the National Baseball & Softball Complex at Farnham Park, the first day saw Edinburgh played University of Swansea, University of Kent, and UCLANN (University of Central Lancaster) with results 11-9, 14-6, 2-12.[5] This was good enough for 2nd place in group A placing them in the Semi Finals for the second day. The game ended in a heart-breaking loss to the University of Southampton Mustangs 11-12 placing them in the 3rd place game versus UCLANN, who lost to Durham in their semi-final, which was another one-sided defeat. Overall, EUBC finished 4th,[6] a record for Scottish University Baseball Teams[7]
Blane Heerey, and Jin Nishikawa had the clubs Cy Young and Glove Glove awards named after them with the Silver Slugger still yet to be named.
