Daiva Malhar, also known as Divya Malhar, is a Raga in Hindustani classical music. This Raga, falls under Kafi (thaat) and is a part of the Malhar (family of ragas)[1]. This Raga is similar to that of Megh Malhar and Megh ( Raga ) However there are slight differences between Daiva Malhar and Megh Malhar.
About The Raga
[edit][2] This Raga was created by Sadananda Mukhopadhyaya. Ga and Dha Swaras are not used here. Re, Ma and Ni are used Shuddha. Komal Ni is also used, but it is with Pa in Andolan. The ArohanaRe is Vadi and Pa is Samvadi here. and Avarohana of Daiva Malhar, are as follows :-
The Time of Daiva Malhar is from 6PM to 8PM and the best season for this Raga is Monsoon.
