Comp-u-TRS Programming Consulting Services, also known as Computer van, was founded by John Knoderer in April 1978.
Comp-u-TRS was a programming and consulting service on wheels, mainly serving the greater Kansas City and Saint Louis areas, though it did travel to other locations, including Texas, Florida and the Atlantic coast.
From 1979-1981, Computervan, Inc. operated The Software Center, next door to a Radio Shack Computer Center in Florissant, Missouri, but John and his Comp-u-TRS van continued to travel to customers until 1992 when his focused changed to Adult Education and Literacy in Arkansas.
Radio Shack published an article about John and his ComputerVan in their INTERCOM magazine:[1]
Articles about John, some with John as co-author, have appeared in Byte, Kilobaud Microcomputing, 80-US, and other magazines.
