Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is an upcoming musical fantasy film directed by Matthew Warchus from a screenplay by Enda Walsh, based on Ian Fleming's 1964 children's novel Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang: The Magical Car.

[edit]In 2008, Telegraph reported film producer Michael G. Wilson was conceding to a possible remake of the 1968 film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, based on the the 1964 children's novel Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang: The Magical Car by Ian Fleming.[1] In December 2024, it was reported that a remake of the film was in early development, to be produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Eon Productions, the production company behind the James Bond films.[2] Matthew Warchus was announced to be attached to direct the film with Enda Walsh serving as the screenwriter.[3][4][5]
