Buddhism in Luxembourg is a minority religion, with less than 1% of the population identifying as Buddhist.[1] It is a small and active community.
Buddhism started to establish its presence in Luxembourg in the 1990s, particularly with the founre d'études et de pratique du bouddhisme tibétain Dzogchen Shedrup Darje Ling in Howald.
Luxembourg has several Buddhist centers that act as cultural and spiritual focal points for both practitioners and those exploring Buddhist philosophy. One such center, the Centre Culturel Tibétain, was founded by Lama Jigmé Namgyal and offers a range of courses, meditation sessions, and cultural events to promote Tibetan culture and Buddhist teachings within the Luxembourg community. Another significant center, the Centre d'études et de pratique du bouddhisme tibétain Dzogchen Shedrup Darje Ling in Howald, focuses on Tibetan Buddhist practices and teachings.
