Bazhanov (Bamdas) Leonid Aleksandrovich (March 27, 1945, Moscow — January 11, 2025, Moscow) — Russian art critic, art historian, curator, specialist in contemporary art of the second half of the 20th — early 21st centuries. Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts (2011), Honored Missioner of Culture of the Russian Federation (2012).

Biography
Son of Doctor of Technical Sciences Alexander Markovich Bamdas (1905-1972).
Graduated from the Department of History and Theory of Art at Lomonosov Moscow State University (1973). In 1986, he was the founder of the "Hermitage" Creative Association. In 1991, he founded the Center for Contemporary Art on Bolshaya Yakimanka. Since 1994 — artistic director of the National Centre for Contemporary Arts. Since 2001 — Actual Member of the Russian Academy of Art Criticism. Lived and worked in Moscow. Laureate of the "Innovation" Prize for the contribution to the development of contemporary art.
Died on January 11, 2025 in Moscow at the age of 79, exactly 53 years after the death of his father.
