Submission declined on 5 September 2024 by Theroadislong (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). - Comment: Unfortunately, I have been unable to find any significant coverage of this individual or their work in reliable and independent secondary sources. This means they do not meet the notability requirements for an article on Wikipedia. The best way to solve this is to include references to significant coverage of the person in reliable secondary publications. David Palmer//cloventt (talk) 03:23, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: Wikipedia doesn't use any external links in the body of an article please remove. Theroadislong (talk) 11:50, 6 September 2024 (UTC)

Andrew Holdsworth is an English composer, record producer and pianist.
Music for Ballet
[edit]Holdsworth is the music producer of all the grades and vocational exams for the Royal Academy of Dance. With Jonathan Still, he began devising the Pre-Primary and Primary syllabi in 2009 and went on to produce the music for Grades 1-3 (2011) and Grades 4-5 (2013)[1], recording the English National Ballet Philharmonic and a collection of ensembles and solo performers[2]. Holdsworth's other productions for the Royal Academy of Dance include the After Class series[3], the Discovering Repertoire series and music resources for Silver Swans. He has released, to date, over 40 albums of music for ballet class.[4]
Other
[edit]Holdsworth’s first studio work was as house engineer at Jacob’s Studios where he worked with death metal band Paradise Lost[5] and played keyboards on their albums Icon[6][7] (1993) and Draconian Times (1995).
Holdsworth's production career started in 1997 with Cosmas[8], the debut album from Damian Wilson and he has since produced all of Wilson's solo albums. He has also worked extensively with Dublin-based record producer Bill Shanley[9] - arranging, mixing and sometimes co-producing Irish artists such as Mary Black[10] and Finbar Furey[11]. During lockdown, Holdsworth produced Tony Woollard's arrangement of Mozart's Requiem for 20 Cellos[12], parts of which were choreographed and filmed by Ballet Black[13].
With Nigel Planer and Hannah Jane Fox, in 2018 Holdsworth wrote a musical adaptation of Fay Weldon’s She Devil which is currently in production[14]
