The American Youth Foundation, or AYF, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit[1] foundation based in Saint Louis Missouri, USA.[2] It was founded in 1925 with the intention of bettering the lives of youth. While based in Missouri, the AYF is primarily made up of two different camps; Camp Merrowvista is located in Center Tuftonboro, New Hampshire, and Camp Miniwanca is located in Shelby, Michigan. These camps consider themselves each other's "sister camp". Both camps host a wide range of programs including summer sleep away camping, year round programs offered to schools, and adult retreats.
