Submission declined on 5 February 2025 by AlphaBetaGamma (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). Career
[edit]In 2022, after relocating to a different town, Amaris formed a band at her secondary school, serving as the lead singer and guitarist. The band initially performed covers of songs by Nirvana and the Misfits during practice sessions at their secondary school music room. Following a period of inactivity, Amaris pursued solo work as a cover artist before releasing her original single "Disgraced" in June 2024.
Her music blends elements of dream pop, ethereal wave, gothic rock, new wave, and post-punk. She released her debut album, The Moon Is No Door, in 2024, featuring tracks like "Haze," "This Savage Parade," and "Seven."
Personal Life
[edit]Amaris Rose has cited artists such as The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and Joy Division as major influences on her music. She is particularly drawn to post-punk and gothic rock aesthetics, both in sound and visual style.
Beyond music, Amaris is a passionate artist and writer. She enjoys drawing and often incorporates surreal and dreamlike imagery into her artwork. She has expressed an interest in storytelling, with her lyrics and visual art often exploring themes of nostalgia, melancholy, and existentialism.
She is also interested in makeup artistry, frequently experimenting with bold, dramatic looks inspired by goth and alternative fashion. Her creative pursuits extend to photography, where she captures moody, atmospheric images that align with her artistic vision.
Amaris maintains an active online presence, where she shares her music, artwork, and thoughts on post-punk culture.
