History

[edit]

Alpine Air Adventures was established in 2005 by Jeff Bullock. From a young age, Jeff was inspired by the snowcapped peaks that surrounded him, leading him to pursue cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, and snowboarding. In his early twenties, he honed his skills in technical rope work, steep rock and ice climbing, and long ski traverses. This dedication culminated in 2002 when he embarked on the journey to become a fully certified mountain guide with the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG) and the International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations (IFMGA).

Over the subsequent seven years, Jeff committed himself to rigorous training for guiding examinations while assuming various leadership roles. His experience includes serving as an assistant and lead guide for the Alpine Club of Canada's GMC camps and section courses (2005-present), as well as working as the assistant operations manager for Last Frontier Heliskiing from 2008 to 2013. Most recently, he held the position of Manager of Mountain Programs at the Outdoor Centre at the University of Calgary from 2013 to 2019.

Since 2005 Alpine Air Adventures has supported individuals and groups, including the Canadian Department of National Defence, in their training within the Rockie Mountains.
