Adson Dias is a Portuguese-Goan YouTuber and gamer known for his often funny gameplay. He is the owner of the channels Adson Dias gaming and Adson Playz.
Birth and early life
[edit]Adson was born in the former Portuguese colony of Goa in Porvorim, on the 16th of March, 2008. In his early years he resided in Santa Cruz, a parish next to the Goan capital city of Panjim. He was also baptised in the St. Cruz Chruch, and still remain a Roman Catholic. His first language was English as a result of being born in an English speaking family. However, he was also exposed to the local languages of Konkani and Portuguese from his grandparents and surroundings, and speaks them to a good level. Despite not being able to speak the Hindi language, Adson seems to understand some of it due to exposure to the wider Indian television. He also seems to be a Goan nationalist and often will refer to Goa as a separate nation. This might be as a result of Catholic Portuguese-Goan culture being very distinct from mainland India. He was known for being excellent academically, but did bad at sports. He also loves traditional fado music.
YouTube and life in England
[edit]Adson had always been a gamer as he often says, and played his first video game Mario Kart DS on his Nintendo DSI XL at the age of about 4 years. He first started making YouTube videos during the lockdown period of 2020, as a result of boredom. His oldest available video is a Pokemon X tutorial recorded from his phone. He also moved to the UK in 2021, where he still resides to this day in the city of London. It was in London where he met his now friend Kevin. Together they recorded videos mainly for the game Minecraft. It was also here in London, where he started learning languages such as German, Russian and others, not to a brilliant level but good enough to communicate. However he was exposed to some German in Goa as his German cousins visited him during the summer. Adson also developed an interest for chess after losing to the scholars mate at school. He also used to have a blog on Facebook which no longer exists, where he spoke about his life and shared his thoughts.
