Danny Oyekan

Danny Oyekan also known as Daniel Oyekan is a Saint Lucian enterprenuer and venture capitalist.[1]

Early Life and Education

Danny Oyekan was born in Nigeria to American parents. He initially grew up in Dallas, Texas and then completed his secondary education at Chrisland Schools,[2] where he developed a strong academic foundation. He migrated to the United Arab Emirates at the age of 20 and attended the University of Wollongong in Dubai, where he enrolled to study International Business (Bachelor of Business Administration). He later dropped out in 2017 to start his company, Dan Ventures venture capital firm.[3][4]

Career

Dan Ventures

In 2017, Oyekan founded Dan Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on funding innovative projects in the Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence and cryptocurrency sectors. Dan Ventures plays a crucial role in supporting the next generation of financial technology, emphasizing sustainable growth and technological advancement.[5]

BlockFinex

Oyekan is the founder and CEO of Blockfinex, a Dubai-based digital asset exchange platform that facilitates the trading of cryptocurrencies and digital assets.[6] Under his leadership, Blockfinex became a key player in the digital finance space, offering users a secure and efficient platform for cryptocurrency trading.and later acquiring FluidCoins which ran out of funds in 2023[7][8][9][10]

GlobalCoin

In 2018, Oyekan founded GlobalCoin previously known as Dan Holdings,[11][12] a blockchain ecosystem aimed at fostering widespread adoption of blockchain technology. The firm encompasses a range of initiatives[13], including Telechat, a Web3 Social messaging Super App with integrated digital wallet capabilities[14][15], and BlockFinex, a digital currency exchange.[7]
