What is a "victim"?

[edit]

What, exactly, does it take to be considered a "victim" of the Cultural Revolution? This category seems to be so broad that it could encompass people who were scolded by children to people who committed suicide. Simple "victimhood" is not a good basis for categorization, in my opinion. Shrigley (talk) 18:47, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps. I would consider anyone who was directly given a consequence (death, exile, removal from office) to be a "victim," but you do correctly note that there are some issues with the category. Do you have some additional thoughts? --Nlu (talk) 20:59, 1 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
