[edit]

I have created this page (October 2006) because as far as I could tell, only transpersonal psychology had an entry in Wikipedia. I hope that this begins a project in indicating how this can be contextualised (there are other transpersonal disciplines, reviewed by Boucovalas in the Journal of Transpersonal Psychology for 1999). I have added entries on transpersonal anthropology and transpersonal ecology, and hope that these can be extended.

Reference: Boucovolas, M. (1999). Following the movement: From transpersonal psychology to a multidisciplinary transpersonal orientation. Journal of Transpersonal Psychology, 31 (1) 27-39

I am little unhappy about this page having one category labelled "Psychology". The whole point of this category was to indicate that transpersonal psychology is not the only transpersonal discipline, and some of the disciplines listed here are those other than psychology, for example, there are references to anthropology and to ecology. Transpersonal Art

[edit]

I see the article on "transpersonal art" has now been deleted, presumably as it was an orphaned article. The tern does have quite a high Googe search, so should it be revivived? ACEOREVIVED (talk) 19:57, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Transpersonal Gerontology

[edit]
Should transpersonal gerontology be added to this article? The Journal of Transpersonal Psychology devoted a whole issue to this topic, and an article on this topic could mention the work of the Swedish sociologist Lars Tornstam and his model of gerotranscendence.
