Canadian Northern predecessors

[edit]
Canadian Northern Railway subsidiaries all merged on June 8, 1954 to form Canadian Northern Consolidated Railways
  1. Bay of Quinte Railway
  2. Canadian Northern Pacific Railway
  3. Canadian Northern Western Railway
  4. Central Ontario Railway
  5. Halifax and South Western Railway
  6. National Transcontinental Railway Branch Lines Company (not a CNor subsidiary)
  7. Qu'Appelle, Long Lake and Saskatchewan Railroad and Steamboat Company

and apparently five more? might have been Bessemer and Barry's Bay Railway, Canadian Northern Manitoba Railway, James Bay and Eastern Railway, Marmora Railway and Mining Company, St. Charles and Huron River Railway, but that's essentially a total guess --NE2 01:42, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
