This is a bit oddly named - Category:England national team footballers perhaps? — sjorford (talk) 10:06, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not at all. England is a nation and footballers play in a team - it's completely implicit. Click on the category and you get an explicit explanation. Feel free to edit it if you disagree.

Yes, but we already have Category:English footballers as well, that's why I say it looks odd. — sjorford (talk) 14:23, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Category:England international footballers, perhaps? That corresponds with the current name of List of England international footballers. IMHO, "English footballers" and "England footballers" are a little too-similarly named, and a user should never have to click on a category to understand what it's about. I also have one eye on what will happen if/when similar categories for the other nations appear - Wikipedia's NPOV policy re: Ireland is to use "Northern Ireland" and "Republic of Ireland" as adjectives, so Category:Northern Ireland footballers and Category:Republic of Ireland footballers would become potentially confusing. Yes, Category:England international footballers sounds ok. — sjorford (talk) 16:44, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Harry Hardy needs moving from F section to H section. Edit function does not work on this site for me. Brenont 04:27, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
