ADDING MORE TO THIS LIST?

[edit]

Hi so I am researching graphic designers and wondering how come there are so few Australian Women graphic designers here? Not only are there very few Australian Graphic designers in general (fewer than would merit attention ~ 28) but only 9 of those few are Women? Is there a way to make more biography pages for the field with achievements, noteworthy works, and recognition, without the designers themselves risking being called out as 'autobiographers'? Happy to list a few here (historic & contemporary) worthy of articles/pages: Ruby Lindsay Sandy Cull Jenny Grigg Marita Leuver Karen ann Donnachie Lynda Warner Allison Forbes 115.166.10.54 (talk) 03:42, 26 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Well to get added to the category a designer needs a Wikipedia article. Do any of those you listed have an article already? If you think any of them are notable per Wikipedia standards you could create or request articles for them.
If your autobiographical question relates to people creating articles about themselves, that is highly discouraged. See Wikipedia:Autobiography and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Commander Keane (talk) 05:41, 26 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ruby Lindsay has an article. (So does Alison Forbes and she's already in the category.)
IP115.166.10.54, if the subject belongs in the category, simply add the category to the article:
Go to the article Ruby Lindsay and add [[Category:Australian women graphic designers]] to the bottom of the page with the other cats; and that's it! A link to Ruby Lindsay's article will automatically appear on the category page. Let me know if you have questions or need assistance. --DB1729talk 08:03, 26 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
