The building, a locally listed Grade C structure by South Staffordshire Council,[5] was also used as a company food store for sales to colliers and a local branch of the Royal British Legion. Latterly it has been converted into a private residence.[6]

The former trackbed is now part of the Wulfrun Way.[citation needed] It was the only railway near Essington which itself had no railway line or station at the time.[clarification needed]
