X:IN (Korean: 엑신; RR: Eksin) is a multinational girl group based in South Korea.[1] Managed by Escrow Entertainment, the group consists of five members: E.sha, Nizz, Nova, Hannah and Aria.[2][3] They made their debut on April 11, 2023, with single "Keeping the Fire".
Name
[edit]In an interview, one of the members, Aria, revealed that she came up with the term "EXIN" as it is derived from a Latin word which means "furthermore". This term was later evolved into the stylized form "X:IN" where X symbolises an unknown variable, as seen in mathematics, representing the group's mission to convey concepts beyond standard definition through their uniqueness and talent.[4][5]
History
[edit]2022-2023: Pre-debut activities
[edit]Before joining X:IN, E.sha was member of groups like Rusty.G and Laonzena.
Nova was part of the dance cover team Dalcom, where she performed K-pop dance covers in public. She also worked as a voice actress, dubbing characters in Russian. Nova joined Escrow Entertainment through online auditions and underwent only four months of training before debuting.[6][7][8]
Aria, known Gauthami was a former child actress. She appeared in Malayalam movies such as Thank You and Melvilasom.[9][10] Like Nova, she joined Escrow Entertainment through online auditions.
Roa debuted as a soloist on April 24, 2017, and was also a pre-debut member of Daily.
Similarly, Chi.U made her solo debut in November 2021 and was a member of the dance team Majesty. Additionally, she appeared in episode two of Dreamcatcher's Why Not Me.
2023-2024: Debut with Keeping the Fire, Line-up changes, Synchronicity and The Real

Synchronicity is the first extended play, released on August 30, 2023.[11]
The Real is the second extended play, released on February 25, 2024.[12]
"Seoul - Moskva" is a collaborative single by X:IN and Russian artist TSOY[13], released on October 25, 2024. The song blends K-pop and Russian pop influences, symbolizing the cultural connection between Seoul and Moscow.[14]
