Ankaful is a town in the Central Region of Ghana.[1] It is under the jurisdiction of the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly. The google map shown on here is not the 'real' Ankaful. When you come to Ghana there are only two towns that you can find Ankaful. The most popular one is the one under the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly where you can find the below institutions and the other one can be found at Saltpond under the Mfanteman district Assembly. The town is known for three things:
- The Ankaful Psychiatric Hospital[2]
- The Ankaful Maximum Security Prison[3]
- The Ankaful Leprosy General Hospital [4][5][6][7][8]
- Ankaful Leprosy Camp
