Amy Irons (born 28 May 1991) is a Scottish radio and television presenter. She currently works as a news and sport reporter for BBC Scotland and presents the mid-morning programme on Heart Scotland from 10am–1pm.[3]
After graduating in multimedia journalism from Glasgow Caledonian University,[4] Irons began her career working at West FM in Ayrshire, before moving to Capital Scotland in 2017,[4] where she co-hosted The Capital Breakfast Show alongside Des Clarke and Steven Mill until 2019.[5] She then began working as a sport reporter for BBC Scotland's The Nine[4] and has since hosted numerous other BBC programmes, including Reporting Scotland, Sportscene and BBC Scotland's Hogmanay.[6]
She is the daughter of former footballer Davie Irons.[7]
