Overview

[edit]

ASB offers a standards-based American curriculum from Head Start to Grade 12. Their technology-embedded learning approach brings together STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) learning, project-based learning (PBL) with cross-curricular links and design thinking.

Located in North Riffa near the Bahrain National Stadium, ASB's campus includes technology-enabled classrooms, STEAM Labs and maker spaces. Their multi-level library is equipped with the latest digital resources, serves as a research space and learning hub, while art studios, music rooms and performance spaces build visual and performing arts skills. Their athletics complex comprises of two swimming pools, a large indoor gymnasium, basketball courts, regulation-sized soccer field and a 400-meter track.

As an Esol Education school, American School of Bahrain enjoys a rich heritage of over 45 years of educational excellence, part of a global community of over 10,000 students. Thousands of graduates from Esol schools have matriculated to leading universities, with recent graduates currently attending the world’s top 50 schools including Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, Yale, MIT and Columbia University.[3]

Like its sister schools in the Esol Education family of top-tier international schools in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Hong Kong, Cairo, Nicosia and Lebanon, ASB benefits from the richness of the Esol network, including international accreditation from leading bodies, university recognition, a global alumni network and caring and dedicated teachers.

Under Esol Education’s experienced stewardship, the ASB leadership team operates and manages the entire school, maintaining the highest academic and professional standards in line with our MSA and CIS accreditation principles, and the ASB and Esol mission and vision.[4]
