The 2024 Stanford Cardinal women's soccer team represent Stanford University during the 2024 NCAA Division I women's soccer season. The Cardinal are led by head coach Paul Ratcliffe, in his twenty-second season. They play their home games at Cagan Stadium in Stanford, California. This is the team's 41st season playing organized women's college soccer and their 1st playing in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Previous season
[edit]The Panthers finished the season 20–1–4 overall and 8–0–3 in Pac-12 play to finish in second place. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and were the second seed in the UCLA Bracket. They defeated Pepperdine in the First Round, seventh-seed South Carolina in the Second Round, and sixth-seed Mississippi State in the Round of 16 to reach the Quarterfinals. There they defeated fifth-seed Nebraska in overtime to advance to the College Cup. In the Semifinals they defeated BYU 2–1 to reach the final. Stanford entered the final undefeated, but lost 5–1 to Florida State and finished runner up.[1]
