American college football season
The 1971 Iowa Hawkeyes football team represented the University of Iowa in the 1971 Big Ten Conference football season. Led by first—head coach year Frank Lauterbur, the Hawkeyes compiled a record of 1–10 with a mark of 1–8 in conference play, placing last in the Big Ten.
