Yazdi Italia

Yazdi Maneksha Italia is an Indian doctor and scientist. He was the Director of the sickle cell anemia control program of the Government of Gujarat.[1][2][3] He was a co-investigator in several ICMR research projects.

He led the establishment of a sickle cell anemia control program in 2006, under then Chief Minister Narendra Modi. In 2011, he received the Prime Minister's Award under Manmohan Singh.[4] In 2023, the Government of Gujarat awarded him the Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel's award and the Padma Shri in 2024.
