Withdrawn nomination?

[edit]

Hi! I recently withdrew my nomination for Kalpana Chawla due to instability/my failure to gather consensus before changing the date format (see the article's Talk page). Should I also remove it from the 2024 goal tracking? I did, at one point, nominate it. Spookyaki (talk) 15:00, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Spookyaki: Hey, sorry to hear about the difficulties with instability. I think it should probably be removed from the goal tracker if it was de-nominated. It can always be added again once it's re-nominated. --Grnrchst (talk) 14:33, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Removed it for now. Might renominate soon. Spookyaki (talk) 16:12, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

2024 GAN backlog

[edit]

Hey all, hope everybody has had a wonderful year! We've gotten such much done as the Women in Green project this year, and I'm looking forward to the next one. In a few weeks time, in January 2025, another GAN Backlog Drive will be taking place. This will be another excellent chance to whittle away at the backlog of unreviewed good article nominations about women and women's works. If you fancy taking some of these on for review, it would be appreciated by the nominators and everyone else waiting for their own nominations to be reviewed:

If you review these during the GAN backlog drive, you will receive points that will make you eligible for barnstars. Once we get through this backlog, I'll begin collating newer nominations for us to review. Happy reviewing! --Grnrchst (talk) 14:29, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am a co-ordinator for the January drive, and I would be glad if anyone here decides to join. Unlike the October drive, every nom in the GAN queue is eligible for points, with reviews of older nominations getting bonus points. Let's start 2025 by making women, and everyone else too, green. Happy reviewing! DoctorWhoFan91 (talk) 06:54, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

20% women's biographies on English Wikipedia

[edit]

Hello friends, if you follow Wikiproject Women in Red you might have seen that the proportion of women's biographies on English Wikipedia just tipped over 20% and it's a fatastic achievement for everyone!!! I'd like to do a post on Diff (the Wikimedia Foundation's blog) about it and would love to add perspectives from this project (as well as others) - a draft is here, please please add to it. If you can edit it before, I'm hoping to post something 18:00 UTC on 21 Dec Lajmmoore (talk) 14:56, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
