Aikido FAR

[edit]

I have nominated Aikido for a featured article review here. Please join the discussion on whether this article meets featured article criteria. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. If substantial concerns are not addressed during the review period, the article will be moved to the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Delist" the article's featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 18:10, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Elecom

[edit]

If I can get more eyes looking at the articles listed at Talk:Elecom#Possible refs to use for the article to see if any of them will be good to help establish notability, that would be helpful. The articles are all in Japanese. ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 08:52, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please come participate at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Elecom (2nd nomination). Thank you. ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 17:06, 8 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Numerous illegible charts added to Culture of Japan

[edit]

I'm wondering if some more eyes could have a look at the Culture of Japan article. A new editor has added 9 illegible diagrams right in the middle of the article, breaking it's continuity, flow and overall design. This has pushed the other illustrations and sections that are probably more relevant to the readership down to the bottom of the article, essentially creating a wall of text and gray, hard to see charts. I've posted a message about it on the talk page, but no one, including the editor who made these changes, has responded. Thank you. Netherzone (talk) 13:54, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Netherzone: I reverted the edits as they were a confusing mess. ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 16:59, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The #Japan section at Ages of consent in Asia has major gaps in coverage/sourcing problems that have not been resolved for years. There have been some talk page discussions to try to work out the nuances of the law, but they have been stalled by the fact that the relevant sources are all written in Japanese. For instance, the article vaguely states that Municipalities and prefectures have their own particular laws. I have never been able to find any source that shows a prefecture-by-prefecture map, or any sort of legal text. Currently, there are two sources that explain Tokyo's "Youth Protection Law", but one is a 2005 blog post that cites Wikipedia (!), and the second is a dead link in Japanese (!). Are there close-in-age exemptions? What entails "parental approval"? There are many question that this section should answer that it doesn't currently. Would anyone at this project be willing to take on this subject and improve the section? — Goszei (talk) 20:41, 19 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

NiziU

[edit]

Does anyone know anything about a Japanese girl group NiziU? There seem to be some edit warring over whether they are Jpop or Kpop, which is far beyond my knowledge (not my era, I’m afraid). --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 23:54, 19 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please comment, fix this mess, or do something. Bearian (talk) 03:00, 23 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
