Badges not appearing

[edit]

User:Agracel noted that after completing WP:TWA, some of the badges weren't appearing on their userpage, and repeating the series didn't seem to fix it. I've gone in to manually add the badges, but here's the permalink. Any ideas of the likely cause? It might have been a one-off glitch, but throught I'd raise here incase a wider issue. Adding to this -- I have 32ish people going through the WP:TWA. This account was the one that I am aware of that didn't get the badges. A half dozen others got extra, duplicate badges (and not the same duplicates, oddly) -- see User:Sydnni35 or User:Eerika.michellee for examples. I am in touch with these accounts at least 2x per week, so if more details helpful in debugging, I can try to facilitate. All best! Prof. Eric A. Youngstrom (talk) 12:29, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I think I did the whole adventure wrong. LearnerB (talk) 17:55, 25 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Idea: Automatically cleanup TWA user namespace articles

[edit]

Since TWA is just a tutorial, I think it would make sense to automatically/have the option to delete all User:*/TWA/* and User talk:*/TWA/* pages on request or upon completion of TWA. After I completed it, I had to request all the pages to be deleted manually which there is no protocol for in Wikipedia. Deleting pages automatically probably isn't best practice, but since these pages are already managed by TWA, I think it would mostly just improve UX. pauliesnug (message / contribs) 06:05, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

TWA runs as you. It has no power to do things you can't. I guess it could tag things as {{Db-u1}}, but that seems like admin makework to me - you cared yourself, many people don't. * Pppery * it has begun... 14:46, 10 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
