Style guides from around the anglosphere

[edit]

If you know of a reputably published, English-language, paper or online style guide (i.e., not just some blogger's personal website) for a variety of English not covered in any detail here, or at the Style guides article, or represented in Category:Style guides, please post about it here.

We don't need a list of internal style guides ("How to write University of Foobar marketing materials") stuff, but rather style guides intended for general or occupational public use.

Some examples might be:

  • Journalism stylebooks for national or internationally regional news agencies
  • The style manual for an entire national government
  • A legal citation guide for a country's entire legal system (not just a local court)
  • University-produced comprehensive style manuals for student use
  • Newspaper style manuals published as general public advice (e.g. those of the The Guardian, The New York Times, and The Economist), not just for employee use
  • Author-submission style manuals that actually cover writing style (not just layout), as promulgated by major publishers of academic journals (not just one journal's stylesheet) and non-fiction books
  • Style manuals of professional organizations (sciences, arts, industry) that cover usage, not just citation style and page layout.

We already have this covered for the US and the UK, and to a limited extent Canada and Australia, but very little has been found otherwise.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  04:04, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
