Throughout these tutorials, students will learn how to properly evaluate and edit content on Wikipedia in order to: 1. author a new page or 2. provide substantial edits to an existing page on a genetics-related topic of their choice. Students will work in groups of three on the final assignment.
Our hope is that students will improve upon their crticital thinking and scientific communication skills while also contributing to public knowledge and understanding.

New sandbox instructions:
- Log into regular Wikipedia (not WikiEdu)
- Click person icon in top right corner, then click "Sandbox"
- Click edit. In the space below, type (without the quotations): "[[" this will bring up the link editor
- In the editor, type (again, without quotations and parentheses): "User:(whatever your user name is)/sandbox/(Whatever you want to call the page)"
example: User:Sthmpson/sandbox/Bibliography
- Click "Insert" and then publish changes.
- Once you click on the new link, the sandbox will be created
