Covers metabolism and regulation of a variety of biomolecules and transport and signaling pathways. In particular we will cover: Membrane Transport, Biosignaling, the Citric Acid Cycle, Fatty Acid Catabolism, Amino Acid Oxidation, Production of Urea, Oxidative Phosphorylation, Photosynthesis, Carbohydrates in Plants, Lipid Biosynthesis and Hormonal Regulation and Integration in Mammalian Metabolism. My students are about 54% Hispanic and I would be open to asking them to translate pages into Spanish, or to look at making some of the Red Women in Science Links blue.
