Wikipedia:WikiProject South Dakota/Assessment/Top-importance articles
This page has been created to allow the members of the project to determine which articles they think deserve to be included in the "Top-importance" category. Given the number of articles we have to deal with, I think we should certainly limit it to no more than a hundred articles. Please review the criteria for inclusion of a an article in the top-importance category on the Assessment page, and then nominate or show your support or opposition to inclusion of alreaday-nominated articles below.
To start things off, I will nominate a few obvious articles to show what might be the preferred format. I think indicating whether to Support or Oppose a nomination would work best, with some rationale for your position (optional) and your four-tilde signature:
- Support - obvious choice, the name-page, as it were, of the project. Badbilltucker 17:49, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
- Support - A large city by any standards, and the largest one in the state. Badbilltucker 17:49, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
- Support - A large city, and the only other city in the state to be counted as a federal Metrpolitan Statistical Area. Badbilltucker 17:49, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
- Support - Given its nationwide recognition, and its presence on the state flag. Badbilltucker 17:49, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
- Support - Definately top-importance. And I see it's going to be on the front page in a couple days, so we'll need to keep and eye on it. - Lex 22:16, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
- Support - This is one of the major regions in South Dakota and encompasses many topics Lmielke359 04:18, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
- Supportx10 - The Black Hills are probably South Dakota's best-known region and have an interesting history that covers native peoples, the wild west, and modern times. There are also quite a few articles within its scope compared to other rural areas of the state. I consider this page and its associated pages my top priority on Wikipedia. - Support - South Dakota wouldn't receive or have the amount of money it does now without the motorcycle industry. The Buffalo Chip Campground brings in a lot of the revenue during the Bike Rally. ShandellClutter 16:00, 13 February 2012 (UTC)
