The article news section includes five new featured articles, five new featured pictures, a new featured list, and three new A-class articles.
Hawkeye7 and Nick-D have each contributed a book review for this month's edition, the former on Australian military leadership, the latter of the Byzantine connection with the First Crusade.
The August edition of the contest department ended with Djmaschek taking victory, entering six articles for a total of 36 points; Djmaschek earned the WikiChevrons for their efforts. Hog Farm took the runner-up spot, and the Writer's Barnstar, with 28 points from three articles. The other editors who submitted entries were Gog the Mild, Pickersgill-Cunliffe and Zawed. Entries are open for the September edition of the contest, get them in!
