Description
[edit]This project has been created before and I'd like to revive it. I had lots of fun working with other people focusing on articles to improve. The idea is to actively, real time improve online via chat articles that we vote on. Diaa abdelmoneim (talk) 20:23, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Spotlight is a process for article expansion whereby a number of editors get together online and all concentrate on simultaneously expanding and improving a single article. The coordination of these activities takes place on #wikipedia-spotlight on the freenode IRC network (see the IRC tutorial for help with IRC). The first article undertaken by the Spotlight crew was Polar exploration. Look at how much the article improved in under two hours.

[edit]- Worthy aims, but I just don't think setting up a project is the right way to go on this. Kleinzach 03:22, 15 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Discussion
[edit]Try to get in contact with the previous project coordinators and see if they would be willing to help again. Personally, I'm interested; the IRC room is still "open" and its a really productive process of editing. I agree with up Kleinzach, however a WikiProject isn't the way to go to do this., so again contact the former project coordinators, they should be able to help you out alot more than I can. Thanks!
