I've listed this article for peer review to ensure it meets all current GA criteria. Although it was previously a Geography and Places GA, I believe the issues from that time have been addressed. However, I still want to identify any areas that could be further improved.

• The section on "Climate" should be expanded with prose, or combined with "Geography" as that section has geography of the area influencing the climate of Machu Picchu.

• "Beyond its historical significance, Machu Picchu houses a diverse range of species." Would expanding this paragraph into a separate "Flora and fauna" section be relevant?
  •  Done Yes, a separate 'Flora and Fauna' section is relevant. I've linked to the article on the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, which will cover it in detail.
• The sections for "Entrance restrictions", "January 2010 evacuation", and "Closure in 2023" should probably be merged into the section on "Tourist activity". A lot of the material it just a rehash from that section.

• The section "Roads, entry, and transportation" jumps from the ancient Inca to the modern-day really quickly. Some sort of transitional phrasing would avoid any confusion of what time period is being discussed.

• How do most people get to Machu Picchu today? By air? Is there a connection to the modern-day Peruvian road network? It is hinted at earlier in the article that there's a train.

• "They congregate at Cusco before starting on the one-, two-, four- or five-day journey...": This is uncited.
