Hi, ZeldaQueen, and thanks for your contributions to the article The Last Battle! I thought you may be care to know that there is a WikiProject working to improve articles about Narnia, and your help would be greatly appreciated. Please consider joining the WikiProject Narnia by adding your name here, to the bottom of the list, by adding ~~~ (THREE tildes), and looking up and down the project page and the talk page to see how you can get involved, if you like. If you want, my best suggestion is to first get acquainted with the ventures of the project, and then try adopting an article. Thank you! Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c || 02:24, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Devil Wears Prada

[edit]

Thank you for rewriting that final section of the plot summary ... it was what I was striving for but couldn't quite figure out how to say. Of all the many small but helpful edits visitors to that page have made, yours was the most welcome and most beneficial. Daniel Case 05:49, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject Narnia Newsletter March 2007

WikiProject Narnia Newsletter
Issue 1 - 2nd March 2007 . Written by User:Sp3000 (talkcontribs)
WikiProject Narnia News
  • The WikiProject has been a little quiet lately. There are still quite a lot of Narnia stubs. It has been nearly three months since we last worked on Minor characters in The Chronicles of Narnia, which still looks very much like a draft page. That would be a nice article to get into the main namespace.
Good and Featured Articles
Other news
  • WikiProject Narnia's first newsletter issue has been published. You're looking at it right now!
Member News
To-do
  1. Add characters and bios to minor character draft page.
  2. Expand Narnia stubs.
  3. Link the first mention of a year in all Narnia-related articles to Narnian timeline.
  4. Rewrite character articles to use the Narnian character example article format.
  5. Adopt an article and improve it to the best of your ability.
  6. Wikify The Chronicles of Narnia article, especially the new lead and Narnian Universe sections
From the founder

I am proud to present our first issue of the WikiProject Narnia Newsletter. I decided that we needed to alert everybody who had expressed interest in the project that there is much work to be done! Please check in every once in a while at the project talk page, and tell other project members what you've been up to in terms of Narnia articles.

Article of the Month: Edmund Pevensie
  • Edmund Pevensie is a major character in The Chronicles of Narnia. He appears as a principal character in three of the seven books. Edmund was the second to enter Narnia, although he tried to betray his siblings to the White Witch. However, Edmund managed to help save Narnia by neutralizing the White Witch's most powerful weapon, her wand.
Collaboration of the Month: Shasta (Narnia)
  • Shasta is currently quite short and not much of his background has been mentioned. The article also lacks images – but make sure if you upload one, you include a FU rationale. Contribute!

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:BigTrouble.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 20:28, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:BigTroubleCover.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:BigTroubleCover.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Duplicate images uploaded

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:BigTroubleCover.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:BigTrouble.jpg. The copy called Image:BigTrouble.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 20:45, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Seeker

[edit]

Hi, thanks for writing the Plot section for The Seeker (film)! I was wondering, though... is it possible for you to trim it to between 400 to 700 words (about 600 words) per WP:MOSFILMS#Plot? Right now, the section is nearly 1,500 words, which is too many! Let me know if you can do this. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 17:27, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your plot summary for The Seeker (film) is really good. But like Erik says, it is about twice as long as needed. I'll try to wittle away at it but I don't want to step on your toes so I'll give you first dips. Cheers! Wassupwestcoast 00:42, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:CrazyElmont.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:CrazyElmont.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 12:41, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:MatchmakerDVD2.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:MatchmakerDVD2.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 16:26, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Lacey.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Lacey.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. Proposed deletion of A Barrel of Laughs, a Vale of Tears

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article A Barrel of Laughs, a Vale of Tears, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Lack of context, unsourced,

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
