[edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Independent film. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. freshacconci talk to me 19:33, 30 July 2013 (UTC)

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Academy Film Archive. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. freshacconci talk to me 19:37, 30 July 2013 (UTC)
This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did at Library of Congress, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. freshacconci talk to me 19:38, 30 July 2013 (UTC)

Request reason:
I am very sorry, I did not see the warnings and I sincerely apologize if I violated the rules. It was not at all my intention to make spamming links. If I made a violation it was from pure ignorance. I have set up a nonprofit organization to preserve the names and legacy of silent movie stars. I was making links from Wikipedia articles about films and actors, which are listed on my website. Then it appeared to me that I could make links for all things related to silent films, etc. I made a link from the Library of Congress, because it is mentioned on my site, same for Oscars, Hollywood Walk of Fame, etc. I do apologize if I made some inappropriate links after that; I wish to make amends and delete those wrongful ones if you indicate them to me. Making legitimate links of films and actors, as I add more of these to the website, is extremely important to my nonprofit. We work overtime without pay to bring the names of forgotten silent movie stars back from oblivion and for the right of the public to see silent films which are kept locked in vaults of companies like Warner, or are overseas and we are trying to repatriate them for the audiences to see. We are only supported by charitable contributions, so it is extremely important for us to be able to tell the public who we are and what we do. Please allow us to keep making legitimate links and I sincerely apologize again for the involuntary infractions of your rules. Please unblock this account, and I will make sure that I never violate the rules again. Thank you!
Accept reason:
I've unblocked your account, but you can't promote your site by mass adding links to Wikipedia. You'll have to stop continually adding them. I suggest you seek guidance at the WP:TEAHOUSE if you have more questions. Mark Arsten (talk) 18:29, 31 July 2013 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
