Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 11:14, 2 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for continued legal threats. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

I have previously told you about legal threats, yet you continue to make veiled ones - "we are prepared to take this as far as we can which ever way possible." Therefore you are blocked from editing Wikipedia until such time as you withdraw your threats. GiantSnowman 13:48, 2 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I was warned about legal threats and took that on board. I then stated I would use what ever means to fight to get the non factual information of the page in question. Meaning I have read the correct procedure if I have a dispute and I will go through wiki. That was not a legal threat I undertand I was in the wrong before I didn't know what steps to go through I withdraw all legal threats XVXI (talk) 15:02, 2 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

Since you declared that by "what ever means" you mean the dispute resolution processes on Wikipedia, not legal means, I'll unblock this account. You should, however, be a little more careful in your choice of words - one of the main problems with legal theats is the chilling effect they may have, and if your comments could easily be interpreted as implying a legal threat, even if you don't mean them that way, there'll be a problem. Blocked

unblock My account is still blocked after it was stated is would be unlocked please could you shine some light on this XVXI (talk) 17:42, 2 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I see no indication that this account is blocked, either directly or indirectly. The block log shows that I unblocked it. If you still see some block message, you'll have to provide more details. If you're concerned that the message gives your IP address, you can contact WP:UTRS; otherwise you can copy-paste it here. Huon (talk) 17:59, 2 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You have engaged in edit-warring, mass-deletion of referenced content, and legal threats. You were blocked and subsequently unblocked after promises to change your ways. Upon your return you again have deleted referenced content. If you do so again then you will be blocked again - and it's much harder to come back from a second block, especially so soon after your first. I strongly suggest you a) disclose your relationship with the subject and b) discuss any edits you wish to make before making them. Seek consensus on the article talk page. GiantSnowman I am a web designer and work for one of the subjects companies and know 100% facts of his career and personal life. I am however new to editing and apologies for any offence caused. If he is in fact not regsitered with the FA as a player with any club and why is it not possible to delete the things that are not facts(just asking) also he is registered with the FA as an agent as you was previously told by another user this is fact. I would never edit anything that could be proved as fact. again sorry if we got off on the wrong foot mainly my fault now i understand the rules more and that i have to go through you to edit i will do from nowXVXI (talk) 19:23, 3 August 2015 (UTC) XVXI[reply]

Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information. This is especially important when dealign with living people, as I'm sure you can understand. Speight signing for King's Lynn has been announced on their official website, so please stop removing it from his article. Furthermore you need to be very careful when editing articles you have a connection to, as you have a conflict of interest. GiantSnowman 08:40, 5 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and thank you for your recent contribution. I appreciate the effort you made for our project, but unfortunately I had to undo your edit because I believe the article was better before you made that change. Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions. Thank you! Prof. Mc (talk) 21:11, 3 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have updated. However the news article you sent me does not confirm retirement. GiantSnowman 13:34, 10 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Again, we need actual confirmation in reliable sources. GiantSnowman 07:16, 11 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
