World of Goo: Link Removal.
[edit]First, I wish to apoligize in advance. I don't think I should be putting this here, but I found the other link very un-user friendly, and had no idea how to navigate it. On World of Goo, you removed a link to a site which gave a "Game play dissection" or something along those lines. I can't think why you removed it, I went to the link and it seemed to be pretty competent. So, why did you?Wise dude321 (talk) 02:52, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
- Because it had been spammed across several wikis. If you think it meets the requirements in WP:EL, you might ask on the article's talk page whether it'd be a good link to add. I happen to disagree with you - I don't think it enhances the article. — Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 03:53, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, I think that's logical enough. It doesn't seem prominent or notable, and I'm just to tired to argue the point. You can un-watch me.Wise dude321 (talk) 05:18, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
Spyro (series)
[edit]A reception table's unnecessary for the series. If they want to see the reception of a game, they can go to the game's article. There's no consensus to include series reception tables - it's completely redundant to those found in the game articles, and it uses up space. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Apollo cameras
[edit]"I hate to be using the talk page like this but one of my friends doesn't believe that we landed on the moon. His main point is "If Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon, how did the cameras get there?" I assume that it was a pod that landed near it, but and exact truth would be appreciated."
Do you mean the TV camera showing Armstrong going down to the Moon the first time? The Apollo TV camera was attached to the side of the Lunar Module. When he was part of the way down he pulled on a cord to make it deploy. Bubba73 (talk), 03:01, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
I've added this photo to the Apollo TV camera to show how it was mounted on the side of the Lunar Module. If you can't see the camera in this photo, first look at the top of Apollo TV Camera to see a close up of it. Bubba73 (talk), 03:32, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
Sarcastic edit summaries
[edit]Hello Wise dude 321,
Could I suggest that it might be helpful if you could consider toning down the sarcasm in some of your edit summaries? For instance, I agree with your deletion of some trivia in Cane (tool) but when you write in the edit summary "(Because that's totally useful and relevant information.)" -- meaning, presumably, the opposite of what you say, i.e. that the information is useless and irrelevant -- you give the impression of being exasperated and/or rude and not assuming good faith. On top of that, your purpose will not be understood in some cultures. Thanks, Alarics (talk) 07:47, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

mold/mould
[edit]Hi Wise dude: Just to let you know that mould is a perfectly acceptable (ie English) spelling of mold. They both mean either fungus or a form, the meaning of which is derived by content. Some Canadians like to differentiate between the meanings, keeping as you suggest mould for fungi and mold for form, but there is, officially, no difference. Cheers! --Kosmoshiva (talk) 14:34, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
