Welcome!

Hello, Webycorp, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Weby Corp, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Weby Corp, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Carl Sixsmith (talk) 22:13, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, Webycorp, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Hello. Back in 2010 the agency working for us was trying to get a page for Wikipedia representing our company (WebyCorp). It looks like they did it wrong and we never paid attention that our account was blocked.

Now, since the company got bigger, we are trying to create Webycorp page on wikipedia.org website for Internet audience to learn more about our company, it's founders and what is done. We are willing to rename our user account if need be to represent a person, not a group. Please let us know how to proceed further.

Thank you! Webycorp (talk) 15:57, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

What you want want to do should be done on your website and social media, not here. Wikipedia is interested in what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about a company, not what it wants to say about itself and what it considers to be its own history. There isn't a pathway forward here unless you want to edit about something other than your company. 331dot (talk) 23:35, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not a business directory. A company isn't entitled to have a Wikipedia article just because it exists. A company must meet Wikipedia's definition of a notable company for it to be worthy of inclusion. For these criteria to be must, the company must have already received significant coverage in multiple reliable and independent sources.
When you say "[...] we are trying to create Webycorp page on wikipedia.org website for Internet audience to learn more about our company [...]", you must realize that this is promotion and it is not allowed. We have no interest in what a company wishes to say about itself - see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 18:18, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
