Speedy deletion nomination of Laptop table
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Laptop table, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. - Note: I think the idea of having an article on laptop tables is fair--I use one myself--but the information about them needs to come from reliable sources rather than from advertisements. SomeoneDreaming (talk) 20:03, 19 July 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Wooden Street
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Wooden Street, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wooden Street. (See section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) If a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Val Hansingh. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template)—don't forget to give details of reliable sources supporting your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. GSS 💬 05:52, 26 July 2024 (UTC)

[edit]{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:33, 26 July 2024 (UTC)Request For Unblock
[edit]Val Hansingh (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I understand everything; however, my intention behind creating the Wooden Street article was not bad. It was just an information page for Wooden Street. Meanwhile, I know I have broken Wikipedia policies. I'll try my best to meet the Wikipedia guidelines. Also, I don't want second "Valsinghofficial1" account to be unblocked as it was my extra account just in case anything happened to my main account, "Val Hansingh." I'm just requesting to unblock my IP address. Let me know if I have to do anything else to get my main account, "Val Hansingh," and IP address unblocked. Thank you, and I sincerely apologize for my actions.
Decline reason:
As you have an account, you can forget about your IP address and focus on your account. Your underlying IP address will have its autoblock removed when your account is unblocked. Attempting to edit via IP by you or anyone at your physical location is block evasion and sock puppetry. The block is on you personally, not just your account. You may not edit under any account or IP until this block is removed. For any chance at being unblocked, you will need to be fully open and honest with us about your paid editing, your attempts to deceive us about it, and what edits you will make. 331dot (talk) 09:20, 26 July 2024 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
| reply=thank you for the genuine feedback, I'll be completely honest now. as I didn't lie earlier I'm not getting paid a single penny for creating anything the honest reason behind creating the "Wooden Street" article was that one of my friends is working there and he said that after being such a big furniture brand they don't have their company page on Wikipedia. tho he didn't ask me to create it. I just wanted to show him how smart I am that I can create a Wikipedia article. for starters in the beginning I made mistakes such as placing woodenstreet.com in multiple articles. but then I got feedback from other authors that it was not right. then I stopped. yet in last, I created a "wooden street" article by reading the guidelines but still, I'm a newbie who just started Wikipedia so I made mistakes in that article itself and I was editing (doing corrections) again and again which led to all this (yet I don't know how to edit sources I have always used a visual editor. so I can't reply properly yet mentioning you here 331dot ) please review
- I'm sorry, but you didn't tell the truth above. Even accepting your story, you said you only created Wooden Street as "just an information page for Wooden Street," and creating a page as a favor for your friend who works for the company is certainly more than that. You say that your "intention behind creating the Wooden Street article was not bad," but this is, in fact, a very bad thing. How long do you think Wikipedia can stay a useful encyclopedia if everyone with a product or a friend with a product was simply allowed to use our pages to spam links to those products? Those spam links also go well beyond your story of showing "how smart you are that I can create a Wikipedia article."
- It's also untrue that you stopped once you were warned. You were advised at 05:06 on July 5 to not include promotional information in articles. You acknowledged that at 11:27 on July 5. Yet, just seven minutes later, at 11:35, you pasted in more promotional content to teapot and then to three more articles that day. Your also added spam content on the 10th, after a second warning on your user page on the eighth. You weren't blocked for three more weeks, yet at no time did you make a productive edit to Wikipedia. CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 14:09, 26 July 2024 (UTC)
- I can't change what's already happened. All I can say is I'll try to make more informative edits. also, I will not make or add anything about any particular business CoffeeCrumbs
- No, you can't change what's already happened. But you can be fully transparent and honest about what's already happened. CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 05:17, 27 July 2024 (UTC)
- i'm being completely honest, not hiding anything. i told the truth, i just want my account back, what else the community wants know?. please help me to get it back. I am already cooperating and ready to do more Val Hansingh (talk) 05:31, 27 July 2024 (UTC)
- I would think it obvious what the problem is, but first, why did you continue to include spam links after you acknowledged Squeakachu's note about promotion/advertising? Second, you say that you only created the Wooden Street article to "show how smart you were," but how does that line up with also inserting spam into related articles, which is surely not something that would impress anyone? Third, if you were truly interested in contributing to Wikipedia and improving the encyclopedia, why were nearly all of your edits of a promotional nature? Lastly, what specific edits would you make and topics you want to contribute to that improve the encyclopedia? Can you suggest a single, exact edit you would like to make that you cannot currently because you are blocked?
- I'm going to be completely honest: given your misleading and evasive unblock requests, I am very skeptical that you're telling the whole truth about the motivation behind the promotional edits. While that's not necessarily a problem for you as I can not review your unblock request, there's also clearly skepticism from the admins that you do have to convince. This is the best time to be 100% truthful and displaying candor in regards to questions asked if you would like to have your editing privileges restored. CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 06:52, 27 July 2024 (UTC)
