Irredentism template

[edit]

Welcome, The Palatine. I guess you may use a template like that, but it will most definitely harm the cause. It is very offensive for Serb, Slovak, Romanian users. Would you remove it and instead simply express your interest in Hungarian-related articles? Really no need for that flamebait.
By proofreading you mean checking the text for mistakes? It will be done, only a matter of time. Squash Racket 10:02, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hobartimus has already read it. I also decided to take a look quickly and it seems to be a good translation. Squash Racket 10:14, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I've removed the template, but I don't see why having an "anti-Communist" template is any less offensive than a Hungarian irredentism template. --The Palatine 11:28, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You mean the 'Rightist' template? You have a political position, that's fine, but changing borders of EU members is another issue... And thanks for being involved in Hungarian stuff. Squash Racket 11:58, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You

Fair use rationale for Image:Smallerhungary.PNG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Smallerhungary.PNG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Noble titles in eastern name order

[edit]

Thanks for your message. Well, I dont know whether there is a wiki rule about the use of noble titles in eastern name order templates. My point is that these titles are/were part of the name -at least in Hungary - and so they should be regarded as such. Furthermore, if we use western name order in the case of a Hungarian noble, we usually transcribe his title using the latin prefix "de". It is OK, I also support this transscription, but this way we loose the original form. Eg. zsadányi és törökszentmiklósi Almásy György is the native form and not de Zsadány et Törökszentmiklós. But I dont care too much about this and wont revert you. --Koppany (talk) 00:43, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings from the League of Copyeditors. Your name is listed on our members page, but we are unsure how many of the people listed there are still active contributors to the League's activities. If you are still interested in participating in the work of the League, please follow the instructions at the members page to add your name to the active members list. Once you have done that, you might want to familiarise yourself with the new requests system, which has replaced the old /proofreading subpage. As the old system is now deprecated, the main efforts of the League should be to clear the substantial backlog which still exists there.
The League's services are in as high demand as ever, as evinced by the increasing backlog on our requests pages, both old and new. While FA and GA reviewers regularly praise the League's contributions to reviewed articles, we remain perennially understaffed. Fulfilling requests to polish the prose of Wikipedia's highest-profile articles is a way that editors can make a very noticeable difference to the appearance of the encyclopedia. On behalf of the League, if you do consider yourself to have left, I hope you will consider rejoining; if you consider yourself inactive, I hope you will consider returning to respond to just one request per week, or as many as you can manage. Merry Christmas and happy editing, The League of Copyeditors.

Merging Russian projects into one project - your input requested

[edit]

Hi, you are receiving this message as you are a member of Wikipedia:WikiProject Russian history. I have made a proposal to merge several Russian related projects into WP:RUSSIA. File source problem with File:Kalman Rozsahegyi.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Kalman Rozsahegyi.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:38, 19 November 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 00:38, 19 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page.
